Christmas Eve, 2013 - I have gone 8 days since I last had a cigarette! My goal is to remain an ex-smoker for the rest of my life, going one day at a time!


Hello - I am a professional musician. I play piano and organ, as well as write music arrangements. I also work with about 150 high school students every single day of my life, as well as lots amateur and professional adult musicians. Some unique things about me:

-- I love international travel
-- I love Alfred Hitchcock movies
-- I love to laugh - every single day. My day is never completed unless someone has made me laugh - do you accept the challenge?
-- I also love Charlie Chaplin movies.
-- Chocolate and homemade macaroni & cheese (NOT from a box) solves all of the world's problems.
-- I lost 150 pounds 10 years ago and have been able to keep the weight off!


I love to cook, play the piano or organ, write music arrangements, read non-fictional books, unwind at the end of a long day of work by watching Food Network, or classic movies, or documentaries and all kinds of music on YouTube.

My greatest personal trait is that I make an effort to listen to others in a non-judgmental way to get to know them. I think the best way to be a friend to someone is to listen to them, rather than trying to solve their problem.

Favorite movies: Titanic, Forrest Gump, The King's Speech, West Side Story - also love comedies, but any movie I see must have an interesting story line.

Favorite books: anything non-fiction (I actually enjoy reading cookbooks - no, seriously), but I especially love biographies - I just recently read The Autobiography of Malcolm X

Favorite music: I perform it all and like it all. I could listen to just about anything. I am just as comfortable listening to alternative and rock as with opera.
