I am single, divorced, two boys all grown up and much smarter than me, the younger one I raised myself as a single dad. I hardly know anybody in Palm Springs, but that's part of why I like it. I have lived in the same part of San Diego for about forty years and in sight of the ocean my entire life. The desert is a good place to retreat to and relax for me. I love the mountain, and where I am is very quiet and peaceful, gated and walled, and there are a few wild rabbits hopping around the compound. I am just a writer, kind of private, and friends tell me to be more social and not so eccentric because for a somewhat successful middle-aged man I have really long hair, and am in no way metrosexual, more like an old hippie, and my car here is big and old and right hand drive. I usually stay for a few months and then head back to the ocean.
