Attorney Donald Colongeli has been representing clients in the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina for the last eighteen years. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court and is duly admitted and qualified as an attorney and counselor of the Supreme Court of the United States. He is one of only a handful of attorneys in the area who is Death Penalty certified in his Circuit.

Mr. Colongeli was an Assistant Public Defender in Beaufort, South Carolina from 1995 to 2000. As a Public Defender in Beaufort, trial experience was a daily event. Mr. Colongeli represented clients ranging from juvenile cases to murder. Mr. Colongeli has argued before the courts and has selected well over 100 juries. Defending white collar crime cases has become a major area of practice for the firm with the economic down turn in recent years.

After having successfully represented several hundred clients as a Public Defender, Mr. Colongeli was hired by a civil law firm on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he began fighting insurance companies for the rights of Clients with Personal Injury Claims. Tackling the civil arena was exciting, but Mr. Colongeli retained his strong desire to represent clients accused of criminal activity. Mr. Colongeli opened his own firm on Hilton Head Island in 2003. Mr. Colongeli continues to handle personal injury claims but his primary focus is on criminal matters throughout the Fourteenth Circuit in South Carolina. Mr. Colongeli had previously been a Board Member for the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and on the Previous Board of Directors for the Public Defenders Association but withdrew from those obligations to devote his full attention to defending the Rights of his clients.
