My name is John. I live in a small town roughly 25 miles west of New York. When I was growing up here, the scenery was gradually changing from farmland to suburbia. I feel fortunate to have been a young person here in an era when rifles and fishing poles were more prevalent than video games and cell phones. When I look at today's young people and think back to those times, it becomes painfully obvious that our "progress" came with a very high price tag.

My parents made me go to private schools. Then, I spent entirely too much time in college. Higher education certainly has its place, however; as Mark Twain said, "I never allowed my schooling to get in the way of my education". While my skills are eclectic, I have spent most of my life employed as an auditor. The work can be tedious and repetitive, but; it is a damned sight better than being on the dole.

I will never require a Fubar salute for any reason. I will never refuse your friend request because it is blank. I will never ransom your friend request until you rate, fan, or like me. This is s social networking game. Frankly, I find the preponderance of antisocial behaviour here to be more than just a little disturbing. So, help me to make Fubar a better place by resisting the temptation to be an asshole. I am giving it my best shot.

Let us remember that this is cyberspace. It is only when we meet offline that we begin to engage each other in an actual relationship. If we haven't met in-person, your opinion isn't likely to mean shit to me. Thank you for understanding.
