I am interested in many things. I love to watch football, baseball, Olympic sports of all kinds, as well as NAScar, Amatuer drag racing and PBA bowling. I enjoy hiking, swimming, shopping, & taking walks. I like to read, but dont always have the time I'd like to get into a good book. If I did mysteries (fiction and non-fiction alike) would be at the top of the list. Next would be historical non-fiction. I cant seem to get into the love story thing, but give me a quilting magazine and I'll be busy for a while.

I am an avid quilter and jigsaw puzzle solver. I can sit at the table and play a board game, or go play in the park just as easily. I like going to the movies, a night on the town and staying home in my PJ's to watch movies or cartoons.

I like yard sales and yard work, I love to model new clothes and re-model outdated fixtures in my home (yes I do most of the work). I love trivia games of all kinds and if I had time to sit and watch TV I'd be hooked on the gameshow network. I read the newspaper and read news on line as well. I like to visit with friends and family, and when there is one in my life, the man at my side has my full attention.

My intrests in terms of a personal relationship are more direct, more focused. I'd like to meet a man with a strong character, a positive outlook and a loving spirit. This man would be as bold as brass but soft as a rose. He would be determined, yet flexible. He would be loyal and but not gullible. He would be leader in our home, but listen to reason. He would be a lover and a friend. A companion and yet be comfortable in his independance.

I listen to a wide age range of music from early 50's to late 90's. I do have some current favorites but the selection is more limited.

My taste in music styles is like my taste in just about everything else...varied. I like classical, country, rock, and everything in between. I can dance to just about anything, and enjoy doing it. I love old country best and classic rock is a close 2nd. I enjoy classical when taking long hot baths and something snappy while driving long distances. I never stay with one style very long.

If it has Wesley Snipes, Nicholas Cage or Sean Connery in it, I've seen it, loved it and would gladly pop popcorn to do it all over again. I like mystries, old westerns and action films. I have a particular liking for martial arts films (steven segal, jean claude van dam, etc). I like musicals such as Fiddler on the roof, C.A.T.S., Phantom of the Opera and The Sound of Music. My favorite live show was at a dinner theatre when I was 13. It was a show called Brigadoon. I am not into the chick flick, sob story type, but can be suckered into it pretty easily if it has a good plot or an actor/actress I like. A perfect example of this was "the notebook". My daughter wanted to see it and it had James Garner, another fine actor in his own right. I loved it. Cried like a school girl, but hey, ya gotta do that sometimes.

The first film I saw at the theatre was 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'. Yes, I know that was a day or two ago...SO??? I then switched gears and saw 'Song of the South'. This was the first movie to incorporate color, black & white and cartoon animation in one film.

The man pictured here is my Grand-dad. He was a hard-working, loving and devoted father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Many wonderful memories that not only I, but my daughter have, include him. I am blesed to have had such a positive influence in my life.

Next to him, my biggest heros are my mom and dad (pics are in my albums). They raised me, my 2 sisters and my brother without completely losing it, lol (they may argue with that at times). They taught me right from wrong and loved me through the toughest times in my life. I know that it was not always easy. I learned from the two of them how to be a friend, parent, neighbor, involved family member, relationship partner and companion. They have shown me, as did their parents before them, what real love is all about.
