Thankx for coming by and checking ya boi Mike Dean out. This is our first run with My space. Mike is an up and coming Gump boi. He is hittin the beats and makin his way! Michael was born at Martin Luther King Jr. medical center in Los Angeles. Micheal was never with his mother (Edith), even from birth. He was taken and raised by his paternal grandmother (Alton) and his Godmother (Becky). His mother never married and continued to live with the same man (Mr. Williams whom is now deceased). Mike's grandmother was involved with Becky long before she was with Mike's dad or mom. Mike's mom was ½ Lakota (Teton Sioux) and ½ Caucasian. Mike remembers his mother telling him about being a descendant of Crazy Horse. Mike's father, Micheal Sr. tells about his mother being ½ Cherokee and ½ African American. Mike's grandfather Van Burton , was African American. He died in 1982, when Mike was just an infant. Mike's early memories are of his father and his grandfather. They we memories of getting ready for school with his father. And his grandfather feeding him as a child. As a child, Mike developed normally. He remembers having problems with asthma and having to be in the hospital for related issues. He remembers having chicken pox and during that time it also affected his asthma. Micheal senior remembers being about 24 or 25 and Edith being 19 when they met in a club. They began dating and seeing each other. Edith announced she was pregnant and Micheal Sr. took her to live at his mother's house. Edith remembers living with Mike's dad at his grandmothers house doing the wifey duties until shortly after Mike was born. Edith was born to Lucille a full blooded Sioux and Richard who was Caucasian. She was born on the Ft. Wyatt Reservation in South Dakota. She had 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She was the second youngest and keep no further contact with her family. Edith spent time at foster homes and in and out of state homes. She has very few memories of specific places other than school and such. After giving birth to Mike, Michael Sr. took Mike to live with him at his Mother's (Alton)house. Mike's mother Edith moved in with Mr. Williams when he was 3 weeks old and remained there until he died on February 14th, 2001. She remains in LA now. Mike didn't see his mom again until he was about 8 or9 yrs old. It was around this point that Mike was dealing with real issues at school. He felt he needed to buy a gun to handle his buisness. To defend himself and his honor. Mike had grown tired of the abuse from Edith's boyfriend and Becky, Mike's godmother stopped allowing Mike to be around Mr. Williams. Mike had/has much respect for his father. Maybe because he was around more often and involved in Mike's life. He often wondered where the “family” is in his life. He was torn apart by all the in and out or the not around at all. It was a struggle he will have to battle for a lifetime to come...... Mike's struggles led to more than just the struggles at home. At school he fought a lot. Defended the underdogs. Stood up when it was needed. Got into trouble and suspended for the outburst. He moved a lot. From school to school. Feeling like just as he made friends and settled into a new way of life , it was time to move on again. Becky and her daughters provided a good secure home. More stable than all of the rest Mike was subjected to, but the downside was constant moving. Moving the final time to the good state of Alabama was suppose to bring change for Mike. It was suppose to be the better of two evils. And when Mike got to Alabama, things got bad in a hurry. The trouble at school began and then the people he hung with and called friends became and issue outside of school. Becky moved to Indianapolis. And Mike caught 5 cases. It would be a long and drawn out struggle to get thou not only 1 but 5 cases against him. It was time to wake up and grow up quick, fast, and in a hurry. Mike was indited on 5 counts. #1. Attempted Murder #2. Murder/ Shooting into an occupied vehicle #3. Murder (Capital) #4. Murder (Capital) #5 Solicitation to commit Murder Mike had 2 great attorneys working for him. And defended him is what they did. Mike did 4 yrs on a 20 yr sentence. He is currently free and using his God given talent well. He is married to the beautiful Niesha. And has 2 wonderful boys Shawn and Michael. He is doing what we are all doing in one way or another. He is getting his honest hustle on. He is rappin bout what touches his heart. The message that is within songs is what he wants you to hear. He has been there. He has done that. And he learned of a way to show you where and what he has done.
