Fishing, pool/billiards, bowling (although I haven't enjoyed in a while), writing poetry, drives to the end of the rainbow, walks to nowhere and watching the stars.

You

I saw your face again today
A tear came to my eye
I tried to look away
But my heart made me look again
It wasn't you.

In a store, a woman appeared
I looked, I stared, I hoped,
I quickened my step to her
I looked again
It wasn't you.

I walked through the woods
I saw her there, I hurried
She heard my steps, turned around
My heart sank
It wasn't you.

You left this Earth, seems so long ago
My heart still feels you, cries
My eyes still see you
She's there, I reach out my hands
It wasn't you.

Where

Where is that strange feeling deep down inside
That powerful flutter of my heart
The longing, hoping for that someone out there
The ache is making it hard to breathe
They say the shine has left my eyes
Where is it, how can I get it back?
I whisper in the dark, "where are you",
Does he hear me, does he care?
My arms are empty but why
There is nothing holding us apart
My tears flow freely from the loneliness my heart holds
But he doesn't hear, he's nowhere near
I shiver from my hunger, my want, my dream
But there is no knock on the door
No eyes for me to gaze into
No hand to hold or shoulder to nuzzle in
I'm alone.

Deserves Love

We've just met, you and me
I know, I know, I hear the same thing
"You've just met, you don't know him, take your time, take your time"
I listen, I do and my Mind seems to agree
But my Heart, my Heart, "you have no idea Mind, you have no idea"
"He is everything I want, he is everything I need, he is everything"
We talk, him and me, we laugh till our sides hurt
We walk hand in hand taking in the beauty of the world
He leans in, kisses me, soft, lasting, longing
And yes, I want more, so much more
I want his voice in my ears, I want his hand in mine, his kisses on my lips
and yes, I want his heart
Mind, put your concerns to rest, Mind put your thoughts to the back
Heart, you have been silent, sad for a long time, you want love
Heart, look, there in his eyes, the softness, holding out his hand
Heart, take his hand, take his love

You are here
But you are not
I want to hold you but fear you will wake
I don't want to cause you pain

But no sound comes

If you are in love, talk about it.
If you are confused, talk about it.
If you are scared, talk about it.
If you are lonely, talk about it.
If you are sick, talk about it.
If you are in lust, talk about it.
If you are depressed, talk about it.
If you are curious, talk about it.
Be open to anything and everything.
People cannot read your mind,
they may not see what you need,
they may not know what you desire,
they may not see what you are going through.
Don't let others wonder what more they could
have done or said after you are gone.
