They say life is an open book and I tell you that is true of mine; literally. So what part of that book do I start with?
Let's see... I am a very single lady and have been by choice for 30 years. After my last go with love and romance I decided I could do bad all by myself and traded it away to devoted my life to my children; two sons who are now grown.
I have been on my own since age 2 pretty much having 9 brothers and sisters ) With an open invitation and a push I left home at 15 and became totally self sufficient by 16, or should I say I learned to survive? I must say I wouldn't wish that life on my worst enemy, but wouldn't change a thing about it because it made the the most intelligent, open minded and streetwise woman to ever grace the grounds I've walked on and it made me the strong woman I am.
Like I said; I come from a big family. I was born with both eyes open and taking in this new world and never stopped looking and learning. I was cooking by the time I was 8 years old and by age 12 could cook circles around any grown woman by age 12. Cooking has always been a passion to me and I love cooking for others. I was born with artistic abilities and have sold much my works of art as well as done custom artwork. I've done everything from pencil drawings, chalk & charcoal to oil paints and wood burned art. I also love to write and gave won awards for my poetry and have some published and some set to music. I've published one book since my retirement from a House Keeping business I owned, and am working on more publications. I'm totally fascinated with computer graphics and animation and currently design products for one of the world's largest virtual chat sites. I enjoy gardening and have a passion for animals. All animals, domesticated or wild, furry with 4 legs and more. Those who walk, fly or swim ) So of course I own pets and do animal rescue and have done so pretty much all my life.
Since I'm out in the country and no longer a Spring Chicken I don't go to places like night clubs and bars and don't drink so I've learned to enjoy a good movie and to be comfortable and happy curled up in front of the tv. Not that a night out wouldn't tickle me pink it's just that I learned a long time ago to be grateful for what you have and not to cry over what you don't have and with that outlook I'm a pretty easy gal to please.
I'm far from perfect and even I would love to make changes about myself, but at the end of the day I'm always going to be me. Whether I finish life's journey with a partner or alone my focus is adjusted to that mansion in the sky and looking forward to being greeted at the gates when I'm called home.
My motto is "Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see" and when they finally lay this old soul to rest my Epitaph will read... "I'm going to dance my way through Heaven, because I've already walked my way through Hell."
