Buddy D, the ultimate New Orleans Saints fan, once said, "When you go to Heaven after you die, tell St. Peter you're a Saints fan. He'll say, 'C'mon in, I don't care what else you done, you suffered enough.'" The history of the New Orleans Saints is well-documented. Archie Manning getting sacked. The Aints. The paper bags on heads. No playoff games until 1987. No playoff wins until 2000.

Bernard "Buddy" Diliberto pledged on numerous occasions to his listeners that he would wear a dress on Bourbon Street if the Saints ever reached the Super Bowl. Annually, the New Orleans Saints faithful fans would tease Buddy about his promise to wear a dress if the Saints ever played in a Super Bowl. He never got close to having to make good on that promise, though, as we all know, he certainly wished for that walk on Bourbon Street in a dress.

When Buddy died in 2005, Bobby Hebert, The Cajun Cannon, took over his radio show; he also took over the promise. Now it is up to Bobby Hebert to carry on this tradition. Bobby Hebert has said on-air numerous times that he will fulfill Buddy's promise. If the Saints do get to the Super Bowl, Bobby Hebert would wear a dress and walk down Bourbon Street in honor of the late Diliberto. As Bobby Hebert has said over the airways during the 2006 New Orleans Saint's season, "I will be 'twitching' in high-heals down Bourbon Street."

In mid-January 2007, the New Orleans Saints made it to within one (1) win of going to the Superbowl. Bobby Hebert joked about the challenge, "There's a group called 'Buddy's Broads' and they want to march in the dresses in the Mardi Gras parades, but I told them it was a one time deal. I'll have no problem finding a dress, I'm sure they will have quite the selection. The challenge for them will be finding me some heels to fit my feet."

Well, we didn't see Bobby Hebert in a dress in February 2007 due to the 39 - 14 New Orleans Saints loss to the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship. Bobby Hebert has said on-air that he is kind of relieved. He had visions in his head about second-lining and twirling the umbrella while doing the jig. Hopefully, Bobby will have to make good on his promise in February 2010!

Note: As of January 2010, the only teams in the NFL that have never been to a Superbowl are the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. we can now scratch off the saints from the list.

For those of you that may not know, Bobby Herbert (pronounced aye bear in LA) Was the qb for the saints from 85-92 seasons

damned phone

damned palm pre phone. Its an awesome little phone, sometimes the keyboard is a little small for my monster thumbs, but i gets the NFL app and can watch nfl network on it, listen to the games right on my phone from the streaming radio station of the team of my choice. i have the texas hol em app that they have here on fu, pandora...all kinds of cool shit...

I went to bed last night, well this morning actually, but I didnt plug the damned thing in... when I got up at 11, the phone was dead...I plugged it in to my laptop and its still not on! 45 minutes later and im just now getting the battery charging icon. grrrrr

healthcare bill

Key components of the Senate's health care bill:

-- Includes a government-run public health insurance option.

-- Prohibits illegal immigrants from participating in a health insurance exchange created for those unable to afford health coverage.

-- Prohibits the use of federal funds for abortion coverage in the exchange.

-- Increases Medicare payroll tax on individuals earning $200,000 a year and couples earning $250,000 a year.

-- Requires individuals to buy health insurance, with a fine for noncompliance.

-- Does not mandate that all employers offer health care.

-- Prevents insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Democratic leaders in both chambers have been wrestling with the most contentious issues, including abortion and immigration, as well as how to pay for reform. The House bill has more restrictive abortion language and includes a 5.4 percent income tax surcharge on individuals making more than $500,000 and couples earning more than $1 million.

Both bills have the public option, but the Senate version allows states to opt out before the national program would go into effect in 2014.

The two bills are virtually identical on a broad range of changes, including creating health insurance exchanges, expanding Medicaid, subsidizing insurance for low- and some middle-income families and capping out-of-pocket medical expenses while preventing insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Insurers under both plans would be barred from charging higher premiums based on a person's gender or medical history.

I just dont understand why the democrats and republicans are fighting so much about this issue.. is it that one party or the other wants to take credit for changes, and point the finger at the other for not being a part of the solution? Or rather that the higher tax and out of pocket expense really is effecting those in the higher income brackets, which they happen to be in?

as far as i can see... it seems fairly benificial.

I was at a little house party bbq type thing that went all night. when the last of the people left its just me and the girl i was dating and her friend... well her friend went to bed in my girls room and we stayed in the living room and had sex. since i was pretty shitfaced i passed out right after like any guy does. it was an awesome day! so in the morning when I woke up on the couch i hear the girls gigglling about how i passed out and missed the night of my life...yes they were planning a threesome with me and my drunken ass passed out and missed it...DOH!
