Your Daily Dose of Gratitude

If you refuse to change your job (if you don't like it),
the only sensible thing you can do
is practice loving it every day.

In every crisis there is a message.
Crises are nature's way of forcing change -
breaking down old structures, shaking loose negative habits
so that something new and better can take their place.

Soul exists only in this moment.
Every moment, no matter what the conditions,
offers opportunities to touch and experience life in a new way.
Our egos, with their fears and desires,
easily get trapped in the past and the future,
but the power to change exists only in this moment.
We don't need to know more or have more
before we can live more deeply.
We simply need to pay attention to what's happening now.
To open without judgment to the worlds around and within us.

When you talk about what you want and why you want it,
there's usually less resistance within you
than when you talk about what you want
and how you're going to get it.
When you pose questions you don't have answers for,
like how, where, when, who,
it sets up a contradictory vibration
that slows everything down.

There are things you can control and things you cannot control.
If you focus too heavily on those things you cannot control,
it can lead to an overwhelming amount of frustration and anxiety.
Choose instead to focus your thoughts and efforts
on those things upon which you can have a positive influence.
There are plenty of those things,
and by giving your energy to them
you can quickly and significantly improve the quality of your life.
Stop worrying so much about what others are doing wrong.
Instead, put your time and effort into discovering
what you can do right, what you can do well,
and in using your unique abilities to create excellence.
Whenever you feel yourself getting anxious or frustrated
by something that's beyond your control,
stop and take a fresh look around.
There's something you can do, right then and there,
that will make a positive difference in the world.
The more you make use of the positive power that you have,
the stronger that power will grow.
There is always something you can do,
and it always beats complaining or worrying
about those things you cannot do.
Do what you can, when you can, where you are,
with what you have.
You'll find that it can make an enormous difference.

who lightens the burden of it to anyone else.
