Oh, to be young again!
When we ran in fields that
never seemed to end.
When seeing a butterfly
was such a joy that you
seemed to fly.
When the only financial
stress belonged to the
banker in monopoly.
When you always had time
to smell the flowers.
When you always had time
for one last tree climb
before bed.
When you didn’t like boys
because of cuddies.
When you would rather be
covered in mud instead of
taking a bath.
When your only worry was
the boggie man under your bed.
Oh to be young again!
