YOU SAID YOU WERE MY FRIEND
I used to think that all I needed was you,
that no matter what happened we would always make it through.
You said you were my friend,
that you would be there for me until the end.
But all you ever did was lie,
now I sit here alone and all I do is cry.
You never really cared for me like I cared for you,
and now I say goodbye, because it's all I know what to do.
I cared for you with all my heart,
but sadly now we have grow apart.
You selfishly turned your back on me,
it was so very difficult to see.
I wanted so much to believe in you,
but I guess the truth just never existed between us two.
You were such a good friend,
but now everything has come to a sad end.
Saying goodbye to you was something I should have done from the start,
because now it's just so hard for me to depart.
I wouldn't be so sad,
if only I could take back everything we once had.
