I thought that maybe updating and old blog entry might be enough to let you all know what is happening with my blog and to show my thanks. I had a friend tell me that another thank you might be in order. I agree that redoing an old one seems generic to me now. When I lost my first baby in 1999, I wasnt too terribly affected beyond the first week. It was over and done so quickly that I was able to just move on though I still thought about it from time to time. This time.....losing our baby affected me SOOOO profoundly that I didnt know WHAT to do with myself. I felt so useless and helpless...like I was swinging in the breeze with no direction. I decided to make this blog my mission. It was something that I could pour my heart into to help me make sense of it all and to help me maintain my sanity. Through writig in this blog I found that some people were thanking me for writing, telling me that it was helping them to feel like they werent alone...that it was inspirational that I could share my story the way that I was. I didnt think about it in the beginning but after enough people spoke of it, I decided to make my blog a dedication to other parents who have grieved this loss and our angels not here with us. No amount of time can be dictated to heal this pain so some come to me after weeks or months and some come after years. What all of you dont understand is that through being here for you....YOU are helping ME! I am healing more and more each and every day and I cant thank all of you enough for helping me in that. Every single person that rated and commented on my blog has helped me to get through the last nearly 3 months of miscarrying this baby. To all the parents out there that have lost babies in some fashion....this blog is as much yours as mine. I just filled in the details. Stay with me though this journey...hopefully it gets better and I have good news for you soon.
