Being a nerd, and a professional artist, I go to conventions to sell my work and meet fans, etc. I appear yearly at some of these shows, and have begun putting my work together in the form of a hardcover collecting my work. ( you can see my work in my albums )
Since I don't want to and shouldn't do ONLY comic stuff, I've gone and dug into my childhood and drawn characters from other franchises like cartoons and such. One of these projects involves the ladies from GI Joe.
My question is, do I stick with the original character concepts and designs for some new pin-ups, or do I mix it up and use some of the newer costumes from the comics and special anniversary figures?
The first two I've done are Scarlet and Baroness. Each is based more on the older cartoons and original figures. I intend to photoshop the other characters in at some point, but just wanted an outside opinion from fans and non fans as to what you think could work.
