Twenty Dollars
A speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In a room of 200, he asked. “Who would like this $20 bill?”
Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you - but first, let me do this.”
He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar. He then asked “Who still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air.
“Well,” he replied, “what if I do this?” He dropped it on the
ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?”
Still the hands went into the air.
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No
matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still
priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not from what we do or who we know, but by …WHO WE ARE.
You are special - don’t ever forget it.”
some of you talk to me ore then others so already know whats going on with me. i recently spent some time in hospital. i was in there from nov 23rd to dec 12th. i went thinking i was having anxiety. i couldnt breath proper i was getting dizzy alot. everything was becoming a huge effort for me, even something as simple as pushing my wheelchair.
when i got to emergency room i had a heart rate of 123bpm. so they are monitoring me and my heart rate goes up to 162bpm. at this point even breathing was difficult and felt like took all my energy to do. major suckage i can tell you it blows to go though. so they admitted me to hospital. turns out i have a condition called Atrial Fibrillation. wich is not often seen in anyone not elderly. on p,us side though i do not have any of the things that make it way worse. i dont smoke. no hiper-tention(high blood pressure). i dont drink alcohol. an im not 80 and have no heart disease.

so many have asked what happened so here it is
me ive been in chair since age 15 i was in car accident spinal cord injury c6-c7. im a quad but very independent and high functioning i can transfer well long as spasms arent bad they are my biggest prob. but i have a van can drive, i can do most stuff on my own just really incredibly slow at it.
how it happened was i was a dumb ass 15 years old out with 24 year old friend at 3am i shoulda been home. but we got bored said ok next car comes by lets follow it. bad luck on us that car was 3 drunk 17 year olds. they went down dead end road under construction then turned around we were like fuck this is boring.. oh excuse my language.. so they waved us pass em we said let go find something else to do. well when we went pass they wouldnt let us. we sped up they did we slowed to get be hind em they slowed too they wouldnt let us outa that lane. so if mike was smart woulda stopped car kicked there ass was 5 us an 3 of them. but typical male ego they cant do that to me so he sped up slowed down repeated that fast slow fast slow till got past them. well they got mad i guess rammed rear of our car side ways . the driver lost control we hit tele pole sideways doing 83
the car was a 83 chevy citation not the hatchback ones but the 2 door with trunk that looked like old ford tempo's.
on impact on passenger side car bent like a boomerang. the door only 2 inches near hinges were left from there to bumper was pealed open like a banana. i was backseat passenger side. i was ejected from car and knocked a 500lbs breaker box off the pole with my face. i bounced back into the car. the front passenger seatbelt snapped. it wrapped around my neck. i was ejected a 2nd time and drug 150 feet down the street by my neck as car spun in circles. as car came to stop it tilted up sideways on 2 wheels dangling me by under carriage, then fell back onto all 4 wheels crushing me underneath.
i broke my left elbow. my left collar bone and shoulder blade the ligament that holds the 2 down where they meet no longer exists, broke my right hip thigh and foot. i broke every rib except the one under my right collarbone so 13 of the 14. 2 were snapped in half had to have pins in em to heal. and broke my neck at c6-c7 subluxation, c6 was ½ inch left and c7 was a full inch right my spinal cord was not severed but severely pinched leaving a scar. no skin on most my right side of body from dragged down street. right eye lid was almost torn off stitched back on. all sorta internal injuries i was in traction 91 days before they could even do surgery on neck. this was in maryland. i was flown to pg general shock trauma. they did 12 hours of emergency surgery to stablise me to fly me to university of md baltimore shock trauma
it was a bad accident was in hospital 14 months almost died heart stopped for over a minute 3 times. was in coma 15 days. in hospital july 23rd to september 6th of the next year.
