Would you forgive a sinner?
Would you look her in the eye
And see a repentant heart?
Would you figure out a loner?
Would you pore into her soul
And see the pain she’s been in?
Would you take charge of a wanderer,
who has gone searching in the darkest places
And find and take her to a place called paradise?
Would you support a paralytic,
who has gone through hell and high water,
left alone in her inner struggle?
Would you proclaim to a non-believer
who has relied on lies, false hopes and promises
And deliver her to a blinding truth?
Would you give up on a lover, friend or a stranger
who has failed you many times than ever?
Would you take her in still?
Will you get tired of a rebel,
A skeptic fool, a would-be crusader
Would you? Could you?
She kept the faith of a child
Laid her head and waited patiently for your return.
And she smiled at the thought of how much love she has now
In the end, it was all she ever believed and all that ever mattered!
