About a month ago, a Marine walking home from a party was jumped by 5, that's right 5 low life Mexicans. This Marine chose to give up his wallet, or anything they wanted. By their choosing, they decided to rough him up. They threw him down on the pavement, and proceeded to kick, and punch him while on the ground. This Marine was just going to take it, and let them take what they wanted. Then one participant decided he did not get enough licks in, and kicked this Marine in the temple. Big mistake, this awoke the sleeping giant.
This Marine had taken enough!! In fear of great bodily harm,his fight, or flight mechinism kicked in. The Marine arose, with a cell phone in his hand, he proceeded to get up, and pummeled three into submission, out cold. The 4th member of the tough guys,stood out of the way, not wanting to get hit anymore. The 5th jackass, took off with his wallet, then Marine chased him down, tripping him,and beat his ass. He took his wallet back, and gave him the 3 count.
When this Marine got home, early in the morning, the police were called. At first, the dispatcher, and officer doubted this story, and thought it was a B.S. OK WHATEVER call. Upon arrival, the officer could not believe what he saw. With many still doubting this story, things were just chalked up to whatever. The Marine with Black eyes, a golf ball sized knot on his temple, cuts, and scrapes to his arms,busted knuckles, and bruises from kicks, ended up with a concussion, and missing a week of work.
Well, Guess what?? We got a call from the officer the other day, and the whole thing was caught on tape!! Although not clear enough to identify the culprits, the whole thing cleared up a lot of doubt. The detectives are working hard to catch these clowns.
Who was this Marine? A 2 tour Marine,minding his own business, enjoying the night out!! My son!! All 6'6 280 pounds of him. I am so proud, and so thankful he was able to get out of this unprovoked act, with only bumps, and bruises. The real injuries, were the emotional feelings, WHY? Thank God they chose the wrong person, or did not have a weapon.
