Words
In the turning of the seasons,
The changing from day to night,
The Heart and Soul seek
To always be on the path thats right
We each and everyone
Search our pasts at what we have done
We see many good things
We see the time past like tree age rings
But can we honestly say
That we have really been at our best
Can we honestly say
We have passed every test...
Walking and talking
Laughing and crying,
Awake and asleep
Living and dying
Each a cycle,
in this web of life
Lots of chaf to be
sorted from the grain
But even in the chaf
a lesson to be learned
Never will yesterday come again,
But we relive the anger, the hurt
,
the tears, the pain;
More than we remember
the good, the smiles , the hugs
In every word
we think or say
somehow manages to make
or break our day
Such a powerful tool
these words are
Yet like most things today
They too are terribly flawed
No thought given to the effects
A single thought or voiced word means
to another that hears
No idea ever shown or known
that 10 yrs from now
that thought or word has grown
and causes another pain or harm
We are so "boxed" up in
me, my, now!...
That in frustration/anger
we vent and curse and cry
sometimes for healing
but more oft than not complaining
Why Me, What did I do, But I want it,
It really should be mine,
Instead of What caused this,
How can I fix and learn from this..
Words are the most Powerful Magic
there is, and one we abuse on a daily basis
Maybe its time to remember that old saying
that Nothing said or done goes un noticed,
And that everything has an equal and opposite reaction,
In Anger , we cuss
In Frustration, we cry
Complaining seems a daily must
In appreciation, we keep silent
In sharing , we hold back
In loving, we hide our hearts
We are so very quick
to announce the bad,
Show the world our pain
But soo very very seldom
Do we voice, with words
Our love for others
Our appreciation for another
Or send Praise for a job well done,
funny how in times past
the saying still hold true
" if you can say something nice,
then say nothing at all"
SOMEONE KNEW THE POWER OF WORDS !!
