Love, we hear this word every day it is used in variety of ways. “I love your hat,” it was part of a conversation I heard normally this would not have been a topic to dwell on but I did. I found myself drawn to the word love and how we use it in fact I began to wonder how we lost the true meaning of love this word has meaning far beyond our physical nature.
So I thought what are the ways we say love? Where have I used this word, and with what meaning? “I love you.” The personal love the one relationship’s are made of. This love for me has the meaning that involves feeling and emotion. We all have essential need for this type of love; this is part of our nature. We extend this love to those whom we connect with family, friends, and relatives.
This love it reaches out to animals, shared time and care is rewarded to whatever a pet may be. Personal love to me is a love given back. What about material love; the one that’s started this work of words. Well this is where love is lost having an understanding that material things fade away. Where is the love returned from a car, clothing or money? The word love is used with material things daily it’s sad. To use love with meaning for material things is meaningless. I would encourage the word like better or even awesome rather than love for material things.
Then there is the love of nature this is a love that gives back in a variety of ways. The alliance as one felt inside and out to look at the Grand Canyon and it’s over whelming beauty and wonder touches one with worth. A sweet rainbow all inspiring, a lot of the love of nature touches all in a way that is hard to define. The love for fishing camping doing things in the great outdoors is a love that is rewarding and enjoyable plus relaxation.
Love a four letter word used every day in so many ways. Still I have not touched the surface of what love is. I could try to explain it to my man knowledge that falls short of what it means. It is my belief that I can offer you my definition love is God to love is to know God. Acknowledging God each day we become closer to understanding what love truly is. Love unlike any other word has eternal meaning. So think the next time when you go to say the word love let it be with meaning.
