Ok so i'm a 36yr old blk man. I'm very open-minded, diverse, and accepting of alot of things. but this is one of those things that really get my goat. Why in the world would todays women want to embrace calling themselves bitches. It's no more right than Blacks calling themselves niggas'. But seems to be much more accepting since anyone of any race or sex can say it. As much as women have fought to get ahead, and want to be looked at as strong & independent. It's seems the last thing you should be saying is "yup i'm a bitch & proud of it". Should i say "yup i'm a nigga & proud of it"? i think not. I'm not a nigga. I'm a strong independent blkman. And yes i can have strong opinions, ideals, & beliefs. But if i want someone to really know what i'm about, i would use real words to descibe myself. Not a word that has been used for years to degrade women or blacks.
So my question is this. Would you truely want every person to think of as a bitch or a REAL strong/independent woman?? |
