This probably happens to more people than I am aware of, but it sure seems like I am the only one right now. One of my cars broke down, so I was talking to my wife about looking for a truck. The thing with the truck is that we were planning on getting one next year around the summer time. This was all good when we had 2 cars that ran. The one that broke down is a '93.
So I went looking at trucks and found one that I liked. Talked to the sales owner to make sure that I would be approved for it. I got approved, and told the sales owner that I would talk to my wife, let her see the truck, and we would let him know.
I told my wife what I had found, and all the details about the truck. Then she comes out and says that we should look for a car, and then trade it in, in 6 months for a truck. She could tell that I did not like that answer. Now she wonders why I am all upset.
I figure that if she truely did not want me to get a truck, she should have told me that before I went looking for one. It was a waste of a day, not to mention a heartbreaker.
I do everything I can to make sure that my wife and kids are provided for and I ask for nothing in return. My wife will even go to a scrapbooking store and get things that she thinks she needs, without telling me about it first, and I accept it. Now that there is something that I want to do for me, and I get hit with questions, and other crap. So I really don't know what I am going to do now. Maybe I should just forget about getting the truck, but then that would also mean that I won't be taking my family camping, or teaching my girls how to fish.
For all those who read this, I am sorry if it sounds like a I am just complaining to much, but oh well. Once I figure things out I will keep this updated on what happens.
