I need a few answers to a few things that puzzle me about joining a group.
I understand you want people to fan, rate profile and befriend them. OK that is understandable.
My question is when that is the only time you ever hear from people and that is over 90 percent of the people in the group, why must you keep them???? If they never rate you again, send you a comment at least once a week or so, or even yell hi to you once in a while, what the hell use is it having them clutter up your friend's list??
I have rated many people in the group and not even a thank you. All I ever see in the bar tab or in bulletins are whines about rating me, fanning me, comment me! If people would do the same for others as they want, they would not have to beg and whine for that stuff.
Everyone has become so dang rank crazy they don't care who they step on, or who has helped them all along, not for points but because of friendship (gee people remember that word??) There used to be a lot of laughter, caring, and people helping people in all phases of their lives, not just gaining rank in here.
This is not the REAL world people, it is about as useful in life as the virtual gifts everyone receives!! What is the benefits in life of becoming a Godfather or any other rank in here?? Will it get you a job?? Increase your paycheck on the outside?? Pay your bills???
On the other hand, if you can truly make a friend on here, one you can possibly meet someday, a trustworthy person who will listen to you and one you will listen to, isn't that the best thing you can accomplish on here?
I know of chat rooms where people plan get togethers for at least once a year so they can meet and enjoy each others company. I belong to a group like that and we come from all over the USA and meet in Myrtle Beach every year for a week to 10 days and have FUN! There are smaller get togethers for people who live within a state or a tri-state area who plan to see each other for 4-5 days every year.
Gee people, guess what??? They develop long and lasting friendships!!! Now who would have thunk it????
So lets try to get our priorities in order here, if anyone has any besides rank fever. Would be nice to see something nice planned in here besides contests and ways to gain points.
