I asked nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thoughts of eternal loneliness, should I fail. I have seen the face of terror, felt the stinging cold of fear, and enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love. I have cried, pained and hoped, but most of all I have lived times others would say were best forgotten. At least someday I will be able to say that I was proud of what I was ...A SOLDIER!!! ... can you say you are proud of what you are ? really? we never asked for the claps or cheers or parades we do what we do out of the love for our country if you dont like it here get the hell out!!! and keep in mind every service member in all branches of the service make up less than 1% of the US population but yet we do what we do so you dont have to know and eel what we see and go through ughhh nevermind talking to someone like you is a waste of time |
