Good Morning… Did anyone catch the little blurb on MSN web page yesterday entitled “WHAT’S RIGHT WITH SPORTS?”
Then the article went on to mention: after a summer of scandals 11 things to cheer about. 11 separate good things to cheer about.
Well all those things were sports related, I know I read the article. The top story was of the Little League World Series won by America’s Team Warner Robins, Georgia The team which wound up against Tokyo, Japan in the World Series (Little League) But again it was SPORTS RELATED, I find it hard pressed today to not find a sports nut in or about my proximity. Well because, yes I am somewhat of a sports nut myself too. Not to be confused with a wacko nut which, I have played before. My feelings are of this on that. Why doesn’t someone write about 11 feel good things. Yeah, yeah the little leaguers from Georgia did great happy day. But, isn’t there good news always on the horizon? I mean, how about a child that contacted a rare disease and beat it? That would be good news. How about a foiled robbery attempt that left all involved laughing and the criminal apologizes and changes his or her ways? Yes I know I am reaching now… But let us cheer about things going good for a change and that would not be the stock market. However…it surely does my heart good to see those who were making millions off the pore fellow in the stock exchange loosing their asses just like those they stole from. Hey here is good news President Bush is in his last year of office…that surely should make a few people happy. More so then not I would love to see a page called, Good News Forum or Good Day Good News, Or Good News Daily not to be confused with the Daily Planet of which Clark Kent is a reporter for. Do you get the feeling that news reporters are training daily to get the Horrid stories out? I mean perhaps there are just more horrid stories then Glorrid stories. Is glorrid a word? Well it should be! I am not knocking sports stories. Again, I am a sports lover. I just think a good shot in the arm might do the economy good. Hell it couldn’t hurt could it? Shoot I have half a mind to start a group in Boomers called Good New Only or stay out!!! LOL just kidding…but, the message would be to enlighten people not to rain on their parade. Oh, now there is a topic for conjuncture. How often do you feel just on top of the world and along comes someone to rain on that parade? Yeah me too, it has happened numerous times and I think to myself “ Oh what a wonderful world…” Oooops sorry Ray… got carried away… But I think, at times when I was just happier then a pig in … well MUD! That along comes someone seeing how happy I was and decided to throw a wrench in and tweak my ornery screw just enough to banish all what once was happy and turn it to what ever…just another day… Well it isn’t just another day its Thursday and don't let the rain Forrest café dealer’s deal you a wrong deal. The saying goes what ever floats your boat, blows your skirt up, or turns your crank should be left alone and allow you to enjoy it. That is my Q to vamoose and allow those that ponder to ponder and those who wish to start the clouds to form… well they could have 4 more years of Oil Industry raising our gas prices…
