What are you waiting for?

What I believe.......

I believe in a well-placed lie can topple an empire.

I believe that all you need to know about a person is in how they look at you.

I believe that a gun speaks louder than words.

I refuse to believe in the presence of good and evil. I merely believe in the differences between choices and the consequences associated with such actions.

I believe in the power of the human spirit, and its ability to overcome any obstacle with the proper motivation, education, and attitude.

I believe in being a leading man in my own life, not just a supporting actor.

I believe that haveing one best friend is a blessing. Having two is a miracle.

I believe in teh overwhelming power of pure love, given freely and stronger than steel.

I believe in the healing power of a good cup of tea and a good book.

I believe that every person should have one piece of chocolate cake in their lifetime.

I believe that inside every person is a fire waiting to break loose. It is up to that individual to use that fire to make their life better.

I believe that every person should look at another as a brother or a sister. It would make the world a much better place.

I believe that money is not the root of all evil. It is a tool used to better your life. It is the natural wickedness of man that allows for the financial atrocities you see in the news today.

I believe that the best way to make money is with a damn good scanner and an laserjet printer.

I believe that there is no such thing as soulmates. My soul is too selfish to share itself with anything else.

I believe that every man is a gentleman. It's just the fact that the cavemen taught us differently.

I believe that women should be treated worth their weight in gold, for a very special woman near to my heart spent nine months of pure hell to put me on this planet, and that means that 97 percent of all women are going to go through that same pain, a pain so unbearable that I, as a man, cannot mentally or physically imagine myself going through it. It's painful enough to pass kidney stones, or have an STD test. I can't imagine giving birth.

Love Renewed

Love, eternal
bound by fate
two hearts dancing
with no though of hate

Renewed by time,
and a gentle word
things left unspoken
like water through a narrow fjord

Cold and alone
a man once was
but the fire was in him
to do much more

You came to me
in the dark of night,
and gave me your heart
for one more fight

to fight the people
who hold us captive
with opinions and judgments
that had no place

one strong man,
one strong woman
together in this world
forever entwined
in a dance of love

Sitting in the still of night
the stars refuse to shine
and then you shone with dazzling light
and I knew that you were mine

The heat of your eyes
your breath on my skin
the feel of your body
makes me smile again

A light so bright
that breaks through the night
that smothers my soul
and makes me feel right

To hold your hand
and know you're mine
inflates my heart
and makes me shine

A Fire Inside

Honor bound
and honor bred
borne in blood
of deepest red

Darkest night
devoid of light
no sign of hope
a swinging rope

a choice to be made
hard to think
my thoughts begin to
rapidly fade

I remember most fondly
of my friends oh so dear
who walk right beside me
and take away my fear

honor most high
first in few lives
but for my own
there is none higher

a fire inside
a passion quite bright
to live life to the fullest
and do whatever is right

to love
to laugh
to live
to learn

the fire inside
a love to earn

Lost

A misty morning,
damp with frost.
I walk alone
and I knew I was lost.

Ahead in the distance,
I saw a light most welcoming.
I smiled to myself,
and thought it most becoming

of the smallest cottage
straight from a fairy tale
nestled in the woods,
where no one could tell

of the magic around it,
and the love inside
of the smiles that frame it
and the happiness belied.

I walk to the cottage
and knocked on the door
a woman pulled it open
and walked across the floor

smiling at me,
with a dazzling light
this beautiful woman
became my heart's delight

The darkened forest of my life
became quite brilliant
and I realized deep inside
that I was kind of resilient

a rubber band,
swaying in the breeze
neither breaking, nor tearing
bearing heat and the freeze.

The strength this woman gave me,
because a guiding light
and I walked away that evening,
feeling even more than right.

I strode to my home,
quite a few miles away
and hugged my small family
and began a new day

full of hope, love and harmony
of voices that sing on the breeze,
and the life I had almost lost,
had brought me to my knees.

The light that old woman gave me
the hope, the pride, and the fear
for the lives of those who had loved me
and those that loved me yet

For she told me in that cottage,
on that late winter night long ago:
"You cannot live, realy truly live,
unless you learn first how to love."
