You don’t hold my hand anymore
You don’t caress me anymore
You don’t look at me anymore
You don’t make me feel special
You used to make me feel as if I mattered
Now it seems our love has shattered
When you would open the door
Your eyes would tell a whole story in 3 seconds
Then you would jump into my arms
We would kiss
Then hug and caress and hold each other
Until one of us came up for air
We would smell each other
cuz fragrance triggers memory that way
and smile and giggle at each other
cuz we were being silly
Then it stopped,
Slowly … then one day I would open the door to emptiness
To an empty area of love.
To the scene of the crime
