t is sometimes easy to get off track when times are good. We start to take
the credit and start to think we are in control. We start to think we are
smart. Then we quit praying or pray only with lip service. We say the words
but don't mean them. Sometimes our head is our greatest enemy. We start
acting like a foolish child. We must develop the discipline to be humble
during the good times. We need to remember how honorable it is each day to
come into the presence of the Creator. How happy we should be to talk to the
Grandfathers, to have the choice to start each day on the Sacred Spot - our
place of communion with the Great Spirit.
Oh Great Spirit, first let me thank You for the honor of talking to You
today. To have the insight of Your love, that only You can love me when I
don't deserve to be loved. Let me be reminded to talk to You all day long.
Understanding that we are our own worst enemies is important, This is what
we should or need to see so we can walk in the ways of searching our hearts
and asking Creator and the Ancestors for answers to our troubles. Elders can
help at times but not every time we turn around. We need silent time with
prayer and laying of tobacco the burning sage and sweetgrass with cedar. We
cannot or should not conjure up so called potions such as the junk sold in
stores called Sacred herbs. "There are no sweetgrass sage potions for
passion,love or money!" All our prayers must be for healing, concern for
others and very seldom for self except maybe in guidance.
My days are fulfilled with so much because you allow me a good walk.I humbly
thank you and the Ancestors for walking by my side and the knowledge you
share with me to give to others. My Life is filled with many blessings and I
cannot ever be able to repay for what you give to me except by walking your
path and taking good care of other human beings. This is my walk and I thank
you and I know it well and many times people throw boulders but I am
protected for I know and was told many seasons ago my walk would be hard yet
you Creator seem to make things easy many times over.
