I have two American/ English pitbulls that both have been diagnosed with cancer. The male has been diagnosed with it for over two yrs now, an his body is starting to show signs of it taking over. As for my female pit was diagnosed within the last six months. I have decided to not for go trying to do chemo, radiation or surgery for their cancer, for they have a chance returning. An instead have been giving them steroids treatments instead.
With all that being said, I love my dogs, an well most animals for that matter. My biggest problem is tho, they are not able to tell me how they are feeling or doing. I don't want them to be in any pain or discomfort. So I guess I'm just wondering is, how do you tell when a animal has had enough? I really don't want to cut their time short, nor do I want them to suffer?!? P.S. Recently losing someone in my family to cancer, makes this especially hard to deal with, so pls only leave sincere replies, an don't make this turn into NSFW! It's really not needed, thank you. |
