If you were a mom/Cingular wireless customer that just got your bill and found out that your teenage daughter just spent $500 on overages of text messages; the same text plan that was suppose to be taken off of the account, though...what would you do next? Of course, call Cingular and bitch them out for adding the text back on the package. The agent then reviews the bill to see what went wrong and finds that the daughter had gone to the mall Cingular store to re-add the package without knowing the mother's last four of her SSN.
This was done because the store agent wanted to get the commission for doing this and did not even care to even varify the account. The mother in this case is then credited half for the text messaging usage because of the store agent's error((which I can tell ya happens a lot where I work)).
The mom, however, could not believe that her daughter would go behind her back and do this. What would you do if you were in "mom's" shoes? SUSPEND the account for a time to teach your daughter a lesson, it will be as if you are grounding her from the phone...or would you want to CANCEL the line completely so that this will not happen again. |
