My son will be turning 5 this year, and I'd like to get him a pet of his own - something to give him some responsibility. The problem is, he's allergic to just about everything with hair.
I'm considering the pros and cons for an outdoor tortoise (redfoot, yellowfoot, or radiated, most likely), though it would be quite an endeavor to set up a proper habitat since the weather gets rather cold here.
I'm also considering an indoor reptile - a small snake (corn, kenyan sand boa, etc), lizard (mtn horned, agama, etc). However, I'm not much of a fan of indoor animals, considering I spend most of my day cleaning up after them for my job.
Of course, there's also the easiest route, though the least stimulating: a tarantula, hermit crab, scorp, or something along those lines.
What do you guys suggest? |
