For some reason lately in my life, within my family, they've all found a reason to get up off their lazy butts and do something for someone else.
My baby sister, recently diagnosed with M.S. does the awareness walk..and makes the rest of my family do it with her. I mean after all, if she can do it with her 7 yr old daughter, why can't the able bodied people support her? Unfortunately sometimes it's like pulling off legs.
So, theres that.
Cancer.-any type, doesn't matter. You should be either raising awareness or walking..doing something. What kills me is that for some reason people seem to think the only cancer thats worth mentioning is breast cancer. While I agree it is important, it's not the only kind. I am aware that any kind is devastating to that person, but to me, (no offense ladies) I don't need breasts. If they could come up with a way to cut out my brain so I could survive without it, don't think I wouldn't do it just to be with my kids longer.
Theres another reason.
Lupus: I don't know a lot about this disease. I only talked to one person one time with it and she seemed very brave. I know she walked (all these people walking. I wonder if they know where they are going.)
Walk Now for Autism:
Autism Speaks' Walk Now for Autism is North America's largest grassroots autism walk program and our signature fund raising and awareness event. More than 70 walks are taking place across the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom in 2008.
The March of Dime's: March for Babies, formerly Walk America, began in 1970 as the first charitable walking event in the United States. The name was changed after the 2007 event.
With all the problems in the world, I'm sure its not hard to find a reason to be a better person and fortunate for what you have..
Go Green or something lol.
