| A good friend is catastrophically ill. He is all alone, and wants some companionship as he declines. He is terminal; not a damn thing can save him. His son offered to come home, but will lose his job if he does. This is a very good job, paying over $100K per year in NC. His dad and I are in CA. My friend wants to get a dog, which I think would be bad because he cannot care for it or walk it. His nurse says if he gets a cat, she'll help care for it, but won't take it when he passes. |
