You ever so those odds against articles? You know odds against being hit by a major league baseball, or odds of your parachute failing…or odds of being attacked by a shark? Well the odds differ for everything due to location. I mean most people who live in a New York sky scraper can safely say no sharks swim in the halls and offices other then a three piece suit wearing lawyer, however take the person out on vacation to a far off Caribbean island and the odds increase.

Yes odds of this or that happening to a person certainly changes when the environment changes that they are used to. Speaking of Sharks. Scared to go swimming? Jaws getting to you?
Don't fret, the odds of being attacked by a shark are pretty slim, about 1 in 65,000,000. But! Most of the 65 million live away from the water….
In you live in America your chances do increase, not because sharks prefer American food, but because American have good access to the Oceans. So Saudi’s have no sand sharks to deal with and Swiss time makers say that Sharks do not ski!
The odds of being involved in a shark in America attack go up to 1 in 10,000,000. Why? Because we love water and Oceans seem to be filled with it…
Happy swimming, but watch out for the flying piranhas. Now flying anything would be bad, except perhaps an airplane in which more New Yorkers have feelings of less Shark fright and more of Plane crash…
So odds and odds shows really have little to do with anything other then tourism. Take for instance American Idol… the Odds of becoming the next American Idol actually depends on how many try out for it… so your odds increase with less entrants but decrease when you sound like a sick cat on speed… can you imagine? Yuck that just made the hair stand up on my neck…
I best get a move on, today is our OPEN HOUSE at work… we have a local radio station here today for 4-6 pm and expect many to show up…but you just never know… the weather is supposed to be fabulous… but the odds….

I have once again over loaded Marty’s work cart and barely getting over this dang Sinus Virus… and I really mean to be more in touch next week… oh and you guessed it I am in a fund raiser golf outing tomorrow so unless I get rested today, this might be my last installment for the weekly writings…
