Puss in Boots [EXTRACT]Puss in Boots was a very enjoyable and loveable film that will grab the hearts of kids and adults who have grown to love this little hero. The storyline follows Puss on an adventure to find the magic beans so they can unleash a beanstalk that will lead him to riches and the golden egg, and with the help of Humpty Dumpty and Kitty Softpaws, they will go to extreme lengths to get it. The plot seemed so simple but I actually found it to be pretty brilliant, they describe our heros childhood and backstory and the whole film felt original using a character we know and love and bringing in new characters that we get to know about, unlike the increasingly boring Shrek sequels, Puss in Boots has the story that kids and parents will fall in love with and a great deal of friendship is taught and near the end actually got me pretty emotional and it made remember that Dreamworks almost always has a interesting story to tell. The voice acting was great, Antonio Banderas was hilarious and cool as always. Zach Galifinakas is growng to be one of my favorite comedians, and putting him in a voice acting roles was genius. Salma Hayek was ok, I liked her voice but she wasn't given many funny parts, it seems like she was just put in there as a love interest and nothing else, similar to Pirates of the Carribean 4 that was realsed earlier this year. The animation is incredible I think, they cannot live up to Pixar but nobody really can, Dreamworks has always amazed me with their fun action scenes such as Megamind and How To Train Your Dragon, it seems to be their speciality, and everything looks just so beautiful and well done, I fell in love with this beautifully looking film. This movie was pretty hilarious actually, it always seems that dreamworks is able to make a movie hilarious without even trying, I espically loved all the cat jokes and how fun it was making this film for the creators, it was so imaginative. Puss in Boots is not the best animated film of this year, it had its problems like some useless characters and some romantic scenes that were embarrassing to watch because of how creepy they were (in my opinon), but with a great story, many fun characters, and many funny one liners, Puss in Boots keeps the great name of Dreamworks Animation standing high and I will be sure to watch this fun movie again.
