Wake me up before I go-go...

So the Internet is up and running at the studio, but not sure how much time I will have for updates. So much to get done… The plan is to cut final vocal for two songs each day. If you guys only knew how many times I will sing theses songs over the next week…it’s just crazy! So far so good though…Ken and I both feel that these are the best vocals I’ve given to date (as it should be.) The vocal lessons are really coming in handy! It’s like a new me.
Other than working like mad, I have to say how wonderful it is getting to know everybody on this side of the pond at our label. Saturday night/morning Charles (Label Owner) and his entourage…and I do mean entourage took Ken and I out to a club. Let me just say that I’ve seen some amazing things, but only in the movies…this my friends was real life. No way will I ever be able to describe in words how ridiculous this club was. Try to imagine the most modern upscale club you have seen in the movies (maybe like one of the clubs in “Swordfish”), and you start to realize what kind of world I was in…Yeah, laugh…little ol’ “Small Town Troy” hanging in VIP at a club that requires a 1 pound tip (around $2) for the guy in the bathroom to hand me a towel. So we hang out until the club closes down while Cristal is passed around like water. (Bad time to be on a diet). Then comes the even crazier stuff. After the club closes and the “regulars” leave, we are taken to a super private room decked out in red velvet couches and beds…yes beds to party till early in the morning. Anybody that knows me knows how backward I am in social environments (excluding being on stage), but at this place my friends, I had to suck it up. On hand were several people that only had one job, and that job was to make sure everybody was having a good time. If I was even sitting alone for a minute, I was quickly taken and introduced to somebody new. It was surreal to be able to meet so many people from different cultures. I had some very interesting conversations with folks ranging anywhere Poland to Brazil. The other crazy part was the buzz that was surrounding Small Town Sleeper. The love the label is giving to this band is truly amazing. I’m so glad and proud to be apart of such an amazing team. There are two goals for this trip. Cutting vocals and getting the label excited about our project. I can honestly say that there should be no problem achieving either goal. So anyway, we don’t leave the club until around 7a.m, and I must say that walking out the door with the sun already up was a bit bizarre.

Fun English facts of the day....Lemonade here is actually Sprite, and Pop/Soda is called "Fizzy Drinks"
"Crisps" are potato chips, and "Chips" are "French Fries"... Also, if yousay you are wearing "pants" it actually means your wearing "underwear"
