I hope things are going great for you, your family and friends, and devoted "FuManiacs" so far this week, and just thought I stop by and bring you the results from this past Sunday night's "Night of Champions 2013" pay-per-view event, which originated from the legendary Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan:
- In a pre-show kickoff match that was aired prior to the pay-per-view broadcast, THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS (Titus O'Neill and Darren Young) defeated THE USOS (Jimmy and Jey), TONS OF FUNK ("Funkasaurus" Brodus Clay and "Sweet T" Tensai), THE REAL AMERICANS (Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro), and 3MB member HEATH SLATER and DREW McINTYRE (with Jinder Mahal) in a Tag Team Turmoil Number One Conternders' Match ....
..... The process of elimination reads as follows:
3MB was eliminated when Tensai pinned Slater with a School Boy Roll-Up .....
TONS OF FUNK was eliminated when Swagger forced Clay to submit to the Patriot Lock .....
THE USOS were eliminated when Swagger forced Jimmy (or was it Jey?) to tap out to the Patriot Lock .....
THE REAL AMERICANS were eliminated when Young pinned Swagger following the Gut Buster .....
..... With the victory O'Neill and Young earned the right to face reigning W.W.E. Tag Team Champions SETH ROLLINS and ROMAN REIGNS in a title match later in the pay-per-view broadcast.
- In pay-per-view bouts: .....
Intercontinental Champion CURTIS AXEL (with Paul Heyman) defeated KOFI KINGSTON to retain the title when the third-generation Superstar pinned the "Dread-Locked Dynamo" following the Hangman Facebuster .....
Divas Champion A. J. LEE defeated BRIE BELLA, NAOMI, and NATALYA NEIDHART by Submission to retain the title when A. J. forced Natalya to tap out to the Black Widow .....
ROB VAN DAM (with Ricardo Rodriguez) defeated World Heavyweight Champion ALBERTO DEL RIO by Disqualification when the "Mexican Aristocrat" refused to release the Cross Armbreaker submission maneuver at the referee's count of five after R.V.D. grabbed the ropes .... However, since championships in the W.W.E. can only change hands by either pinfall or submission, Del Rio retains the World Heavyweight Championship .....
THE MIZ defefated FANDANGO (with Summer Rae) by Submission when the "Awesome One" forced the "Dancing Dynamo" to tap out to the Figure Four Leg-Lock .....
Intercontinental Champion CURTIS AXEL and PAUL HEYMAN defeated C. M. PUNK in a No-Disqualification Handicap Elimination Match .....

.... CURTIS AXEL was eliminated by Submission when Punk forced the third-generation Superstar to tap out to the Anaconda Vise .....
.... PAUL HEYMAN pinned Punk after RYBACK interfered and sent the "Straight Edge Superstar" crashing through a propped-up table with a Spear .....
United States Champion DEAN AMBROSE (Representing THE SHIELD) defeated DOLPH ZIGGLER to retain the title when he pinned the "Showoff" following a Bulldog Driver ....
W.W.E. Tag Team Champions SETH ROLLINS and ROMAN REIGNS (Representing THE SHIELD) defeated THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS (Titus O'Neill and Darren Young) to retain the title when Rollins pinned O'Neill after Reigns floored the "Real Deal" with a Spear ....
And in the Main Event, DANIEL BRYAN defeated RANDY ORTON to become the NEW W.W.E. Champion when the "American Dragon" pinned the "Apex Predator" following a Running Knee Strike to the face.
Sadly and unfortunately for Bryan and the W.W.E. Universe, however, the title victory was short-lived the following night on "Raw". when W.W.E. C.O.O. TRIPLE-H stripped him of the championship, but also relieved referee SCOTT ARMSTRONG of his duties as well,. As a result the main event at W.W.E. next pay-per-view event, "BATTLEGROUND 2013" will be a rematch between Bryan and Orton, with the winner be leave the First Niagra Center in Buffalo, New York, as the new and UNDISPUTED W.W.E. Champion.
