Velvet Black Widow
Creeping into webs you made
Through the forest and the glade
Weaving life through every line
Keeps me from straying
off the hands of time
Black Widow gave me poison
And took me to my lair
And brought the bats to fly through
A tangle of red hair
To strike you must
Upon the brow
Of every hurtful woman and man
Who challenges the widow
To don the cloak of black again
Black Widow of the Wise Ones
I write this poem for you
Onward go the eight in number
Threading each to transfuse
In war you go to battle
And take the living to the dead
From your blood stained fangs
And center eye of red
And so from this a vampire fed
And lifted up my slumping head
Fast you travel onward
to the center of this web
To wrap a silk mummy
A shroud of silk to bred
Velvet Black Widow
Arrow of day
Challenger of night
Seed of battle to fight
And I will hold you so close
to my breast in everyway
For you are my friend
tomorrow, today and yesterday!
