Before i get into all this, i'm well aware of the criticism i get on this subject, because every time i talk about this, someone is like, "that's a nice idea, but it won't ever work" because it's human nature to be greedy and selfish, plus "no one can ever agree on things" dealing with this subject, but the whole idea of this community is that no one person is in charge, and every decision is made by everyone to find the best solution for a problem.This is just my interpretation of utopia.I'm well aware criticism will be put forth here, and that's okay... i'm used to it.
Basically the whole idea i'm putting forth here is a state of communism and capitalism (which i believe is a bit of an oxymoron, but i will explain further so it makes more sense.) It would be seen as communism as far as there wouldn't be a class system, and capitalism because you would get a system of credit, based on the effort you put into the community.
Now when i say "effort you put into the community" it can be any job.Someone in the food industry or a shoe repairman has just as much importance as anyone else. all jobs would be important to keeping up the establishment, but the beauty of it is,is that it would be easy to change your occupation.Even learning would be considered an occupation (you students know that school can be a full time job.) if you are learning to do a job, it would be a very valuable tool to the establishment.Everyone would get the same credit pay rate as everyone else.All jobs would be valuable.These credits would be used to get wants instead of needs, and needs would be given by the government (and the government itself would be the collective ideas of everyone.) when i speak of needs, i mean food and shelter.There has to be a way to give everyone food and shelter.Food would be distributed a bit different than it is today.
Instead of buying plastic (we would have to stop depending on plastics as much because it is often made with oil, and it would help stop pollution) milk cartons, you would just own a few containers and go to your local food distributors and fill up your container.Shelter would also be a bit different.
Instead of destroying every inch of land with strip malls and shit we don't really need, cities would be built in large squares that reach from underneath the earth to up in the clouds (we would definatly need some good architects.) the school system would be vastly improved.
First off, only the best teachers would be allowed to teach.Elementary and middle schools would, for the most part, be the same. but after that you would focus mainly on what interests you. and it wouldn't have to stop at a certain age. if you get tired of one one occupation, try learning about something else.
The media would be very different. instead of scare tactics, propaganda, and Anna Nicole smith news, you would get real news,much like the BBC and it would be local and worldly, instead of just our arrogant news now which mainly deals with our nation,Americans aren't the only fucking people on the planet, but we sure do act like it.Corporations wouldn't exist anymore (thank god.) there would be no need for them (fuck off wal-mart, starbucks, and nike.) because corporations won't exist anymore technology will evolve faster and be more available to everyone.Trade with other nations will be possible because of the fast evolution of technology.The music and film industries will be more about the art itself than making crap to sell to the public (bye mtv and shitty low budget profit based crap films.) beauty won't be about what the media tells us it is (only on the outside.)
Relationships, in every aspect, will be more fulfilling because they won't be defined by money.Almost every aspect of everyday life will improve on how we are defined as human beings and morally just people.I know some of you are thinking that if you didn't have to work, no one would.I don't believe that for a few reasons:
1. because after not doing shit for a long time, i look forward to doing something.
2. everyone has wants, and if you want something you gotta do something to get it.
3. in the long run doesn't everyone want to help humanity and be a part of a better society?
