In loving memory of Bryan Krahenbuhl. May 1st, 1979 - August 8th, 2006. He will me missed more than anyone can imagine. SCOTTSDALE - A 27-year-old man was killed early Tuesday after he lost control of his Ford Explorer on Pima Road near Via de Ventura, police said.
It was the eighth traffic fatality in Scottsdale this year.
Bryan Krahenbuhl of Tempe lost control of his southbound SUV about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. It rolled over after bouncing off a curb, police Sgt. Mark Clark said.
The accident forced closure of Pima Road for nearly five hours.
Krahenbuhl, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected. He was pronounced dead at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn.
There is no evidence that alcohol or speed were factors in the accident, Clark said.
Police are investigating whether Krahenbuhl may have fallen asleep.
Witnesses told police the Explorer was "rubbing" against the curb. The vehicle reportedly struck the eastside curb before rolling east of the road.
Krahenbuhl is the second person to die in a Scottsdale accident in the past four days.
