I do not view the rebel flag as racism, rather, believe it is a symbol of the almost modern day shakespearian romantic tragedy of the southern white trash lifestyle. The single mom who raises her kids while her husband is in jail. The alcoholic. The down and out. Outlaw truckers and trailer park junkies. Late nights and bar fights. Those of us that have played the role of society's dancing fool in Hollywood productions and remained the butt of your jokes for ages. The blind black banjo player pickin' away on his front porch plays with more heart and soul than any hollywood rockstar. I like my privacy (dont get much these days), love my friends, my family, and I take pride in who I am.
