today is only one day in all the days that will ever be.
but what will happen in all the other days that ever come can depend on what you do today.
i'm a slightly odd individual and i like it that way. if you don't want to know how it is, don't ask me. i say what i mean and i mean what i say, but sometimes my mouth goes before the light in my head goes off that says "HEY DON'T SAY THAT OUT LOUD". i'm blunt, sometimes rude, and a bit crazy. random. people generally like me, but i'm not at all understood by most and a tad difficult to attempt to figure out.
my cats are the best entertainment the world can provide. i prefer their company to most humans on this earth. some would say my cats are my weakness, but that's just because they don't know better. i'm scatter brained at times, but i'm getting better at dealing with it. ... :) a handicapped parking sign hangs on my closet door, a mr. potato head sits atop my computer desk, and a care bear hangs off my cd racks. i'm almost always wearing a hoodie of some sort, even in the summer. i'd rather snack then eat a meal, but i can cook something fierce if i feel like it. we just moved and made a gym in the spare room - it's going to become my haven. i spend rainy days in the dollar store buying useless crap for my house. i tend to lean towards anything brightly colored or obnoxiously designed for my tastes. i have thirty different colors of nail polish and none of them are any shade of red. i like to stand out and catch people's eye, but i hate being stared at - and i appreciate when random people come up to me and genuinely complement the way i look.
i live with my sista from anotha motha and have for almsot two years now. i'm glad people finally stopped asking, "oh how are you and jenn getting along?" - like us not getting along was ever really an option. people don't know how to take us when they meet us because our bond of friendship supercedes anything most people have come to know in their waking life. no, you cannot have a threesome with us because we are not lesbians.
life has had its ups and downs with me, but i'm finally on stable ground again. i've worked very hard to get where i am in life and will do anything to sustain it. as silly as it sounds, i attempt to do one good thing for myself every day, no matter how small it may be. if you're not trying to better yourself, then where are you going? down hill? i don't think so. i'm very ready for the next step in my life, i just haven't figured out what direction that is. ... tattooed on the insides of my wrists are the words "faith" and "hope". when dark clouds hang on me, i look at them and catch my breath and remember that better things are out there. they're also my daily reminder to remember to ignore the bullshit, stop making excuses, cut the people out of my life who make me feel bad, and try to treat each day like yesterday never happened.
