I wrote this poem to reflect on how I felt when my daughter was born.

Looking into her tiny eyes
streams of emotions come to me
listening to her tiny cries
eyes tearing up so its hard to see

Whispering to her so very slight
You are my love and my whole world
You are the reason the sun gets bright
and the reason that my life is unfurled

You are my love and my friend
You brought my life a new hope
and a love that will never end
you are the only one that helps me cope

You are my daughter through it all
You are my baby and that wont die
during the times you trip and fall
I will be there to help you when you cry

I will always be the one to sit with you
and talk with you when you are in pain
to help you when you are blue
and that love can never be in vane

I wrote this to say how much I care
and to let you know i love you
I know I am not all the time fair
but a love that genuine and true
