Tenderness and kindness
are not signs of weakness
and despair,
but manifestations of
strength and resolution.
Kahlil Gibran

May You Find Serenity
*May you find serenity and tranquility in a world
you may not always understand.
*May the pain you have known
and the conflict you have experienced
give you the strength to walk through life
facing each new situation
with optimism and courage.
*Always know that there are those
whose love and understanding
will always be there
even when you feel most alone.
*May you discover enough goodness in others
to believe in a world of peace.
*May a kind word, a reassuring touch,
a warm smile, be yours every day of your life,
and may you give these gifts as well as receive them.
*Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.
*Teach love to those who know hate,
and let that love embrace you as you go into the world.
*May the teaching of those you admire
become part of you,
so that you may call upon them.
*Remember, those whose lives you have touched
and who have touched yours are always a part of you,
even if the encounters were less
than you would have wished.
*May you not become too concerned
with material matters, but instead place
immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.
*Find time in each day to see the beauty
and love in the world around you.
*Realize that each person has limitless abilities,
but each of us is different in our own way.
*What you may feel you lack in one regard
may be more than compensated for in another.
*What you feel you lack in the present
may become one of your strengths in the future.
*May you see your future
as one filled with promise and possibility.
*Learn to view everything
as a worthwhile experience.
*May you find enough inner strength
to determine your own worth by yourself,
and not be dependent on another's judgements
of your accomplishments.
*May you always feel loved.
Sandra Sturtz Hauss

Love never dies a natural death.
It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source.
It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals.
It dies of illness and wounds;
it dies of weariness,
of witherings,
of tarnishings.
--Anais Nin

"The Teachers features the hawk, who teaches us to soar,
the wolf, who teaches us truth,
the bear, who teaches us medicine,
and the woman, who teaches compassion."
It is a mans sympathy with all creatures
that truly makes him a man.
Until he extends his circle of compassion to all living things,
man himself will not find peace.
~Albert Schweitzer~

"Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving."
......Kahlil Gibran

Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot... goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people... together.
Realize that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have health and hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget... for even a day...
How very special you are.
~Douglas Pagels Collection

When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind
of person who can live at peace with others.

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to
new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints
on our hearts, and we are never ever the same."
~ Flavia Weedn

"You are here to serve others, to be a light for them, to participate in their lessons and to help heal humanity. You are also here to serve yourself, to heal your karma, to enable your soul's growth and reconnect to the Source. Your challenge is to find a balance between serving others and yourself so that you can accomplish the tasks that you established for yourself in this lifetime and even go beyond that. How you view your role in serving others is an important part of this process."
From: URIEL HEALS By Jennifer Hoffman.

The first peace, which is the most important,
is that which comes from within the souls of people
when they realize that their relationship...
Their oneness with the universe and all its powers,
and when they realize that at the center of the universe,
dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center
is really everywhere...
For, It is within each of us.

For many of us, our lives are so busy that we rarely give anyone our full attention. Beginning today, make an effort to really listen when people talk to you. Put the book down, turn off the tv or turn away from the computer screen.
Look directly into the speaker's eyes and fully listen, letting both your ears and your heart take in the words.
