A Tragedy

I once had but a taste of sweet ambrosia.
drunk with desire,
intoxicating bliss.
The chalice was taken from my lips
and every day I yearn for it again.
I find some solice in the absinthe that I find myself drinking now
It simply helps me forget for a small while
But I yearn each day for my ambrosia
The simple, beautiful, artfully crafted vessel I drank from had My name upon it.
It will eat at my aching heart that I did not grab it and run
It is a constant pain that I bear
It's weight threatens to crush
a'times I welcome the defeat
alas, I am too strong to crumble
It will haunt me until my dying day
Unless I taste it again
