I am modern independent woman and can take care of myself. I became that way out of necessity, not because I necessarily wanted to. I tend to be a bit old fashioned in many ways too. I am not here to cyber sex or hook up with men half my age. I am here to make and meet new friends. I am a religious lady and my faith is very important to me. I'll cut up and joke with the best BUT I don't wanna see your naked pics or be talked dirty to so if that's your intention then move on to the next profile!
I would have much rather lived in past times when things were much simpler like during the 50's and 60's. The music of that era is my most favorite music and a lot of music nowadays has lost the message that music had back then. I know what I want in life and am not afraid to strive to get it. I like being romanced and expect to be treated like a lady (I act like one most times too) but I also tend to be outspoken when I have something on my mind. Not all men like a woman who speaks her mind but that's the way I am and I'm not going to change (it takes the guess work out of knowing where you stand with me cause I'll tell ya........lol). That's not to say that I won't compromise but I'm not going to be dominated either. I would like to make new friends and hopefully find someone to share my life with. I want someone to walk beside me, not in front of or behind me. I have been divorced for almost 9 years and am through with the wild oats thing (lol) and looking for more now. I don't play the mind games and expect the same in return.
Now that, that stuff is out of the way, a little about me. I love life and try to laugh everyday. I am very down to earth and like the simple things in life. I'm outgoing (I have to be in my career), I love people, and I'm very creative. I am a country girl and hopeless romantic and love camping, hiking, fishing, and roasting marshmallows over a bonfire (some of my most pleasant memories growing up were of camping with my family). I also love all kinds of music, although southern rock (i''l take Skynyrd anyday) and oldies are my favorites. Music has always been a kinda vice for me. I get lost in music (both in the lyrics and the melody) and it acts as a therapy for me when I feel stressed by the world or my career. I also love to go bowling and swimming too.
