Well, what to tell about me. Let's see. I am a 38yrold wife & mother to 3 wonderful kids: Michael (18), Miranda Louise (12), and Matthew Redd (6). My oldest son, Michael, just went to Marine Corps boot camp on July 6th, 2008. Now, he is a Marine and off to Marine Combat Training. I never thought that it would be this hard to have the oldest one leave the nest. But it is. Also, my hubby just left on a 6 month deployment on July 9th, 2008. So, it's just me, and my 2 other children, Matthew & Miranda. This is my hubby's 4th deployment and hopefully his last. I'll have my fingers crossed. But anyone that is a military wife on here who have hubbies on deployment, we all know that times can be tough and demanding and downright sad. But it's the support of family and friends that keep us going every day, especially for our kids and for our husbands when they come home. I am so proud of my 2 Marines and glad to call them my own!
I used to be in the Marine Corps where I met my husband. I got out as a Sgt after 8 grueling (seems like) years. That was back in the old days, from 1988-1996. My hubby, is still in, and is now a SSgt working as maintenance control for a helicopter squadron here in Jacksonville, NC. I stay at home now. I am on here to meet people who share similar interests as me. I like horror movies. Some of my favorites are from the Hellraiser series, the Saw series, and so on. You can tell what I like from my stash pile if you get to look at them. You can tell what kind of music I like from listening to my 2 playlists on my profile page. I'm sure you all figured out that my favorite band is H.I.M. Yes, I like some goth, hence the pics in my photo albums. I've always liked the darker side of life in some ways. I sometimes write poetry, but not lately, and my old stuff you can read in my blogs. I have pics of the classic divas of the day in my stash & photo albums. I know that it's a lot of pics. I'm glad to see that there are others out there who appreciate the grace of these classic ladies. What else? Oh, also, I don't give out my Yahoo info or any other type of personal info to anyone unless I know you well. And you folks know who you are. Well, that's it for now, I'll probably add more later.
Also, just because I might have my status set as "online" or some other type of online status, does not necessarily mean that I'm actually at the computer. I usually leave the computer logged on to fubar even when I'm not actually at the computer. So please don't assume I'm attached to the computer all day just because my online status might say I'm logged on.
