What are you waiting for?
The smell of winter has gone and it has left me with a feeling of dread. It’s not something that I can explain but I still feel it. It is like the space between ticks of a clock. You can’t see them or hear them but you know their there. It is the time between seasons where the uncertainty of what is to come, rests heavily on shoulders too tired to care. Where did this exhaustion come from and why is it on my mind? I have learned so many lessons at this point that some are forgotten. Up is down and wrong is right is the newest lesson of what will soon be forgotten. I watch people travel a path. They go along on a road that has been clearly washed out as it still existed ignoring what lies ahead. I don’t know if I should admire the oblivion that awaits them or pity them. I close my eyes and inhale. As I feel the air leave my chest, It reminds me that though winter is over the bite of it will last though much of the New Year. I grow tired of this place. This place where up has become down and wrong is now right
