Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - LeBron James scored a game-high 21 points with four rebounds and as many assists, as the Cleveland Cavaliers remained unbeaten at home with a 111-81 trouncing of the Charlotte Bobcats. Mo Williams logged 15 points and six assists for the Cavs, who moved to a perfect 18-0 at Quicken Loans Arena this season and shrugged off a disappointing loss at Washington on Sunday. Daniel Gibson and Wally Szczerbiak added 15 points each while Anderson Varejao posted 14 points and six rebounds. The Cavs are the only remaining team in the league with an unblemished home record. Cleveland next hosts Boston in a marquee matchup on Friday looking to avenge both a season-opening loss at TD Banknorth Garden and last seasons playoff ouster in the conference semifinals. Raymond Felton scored 15 points and Gerald Wallace 14 for the Bobcats, who were in search of their longest winning streak of the season, having won two straight. Boris Diaw collected 10 points, eight boards and six assists while Sean Singletary had 13 points in the loss. Charlotte was coming off its most impressive win this season, downing the defending NBA champion Celtics 114-106 in overtime Tuesday, but failed to keep the game even remotely close in aiming for the clubs first ever win in Cleveland, spanning nine visits. The Cavs jumped out to a 29-12 advantage after James slammed for two and nailed an off-balance fade-away jumper at the buzzer to close the books on first-quarter play. James acrobatics were part of a 28-3 run that bridged the first two quarters as back-to-back Szczerbiak three-pointers gave Cleveland a 43-14 lead nearly three minutes into the second. Charlotte was able to cut the deficit to 17, 60-43, at the break but Cleveland continued its assault and quickly built a 76-48 advantage on seven straight points from Varejao before finishing the frame up 28, 84-56. The final quarter was more of the same as Cleveland edged Charlotte 27-25 with most of its starters on the bench en route to the lopsided victory. He also said hes going to be an assertive captain and give more advice than he takes. After Norman finished his final round at the Australian Open on Sunday with a 3-over 75, he hobbled into the media centre on his blistered feet to say he learned from his losing experience as International captain two years ago in San Francisco. The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Wednesday that they have signed goalie Ben Scrivens to a two-year contract worth $1.225 million. The first year of the deal is two-way and will pay Scrivens $600,000 at the NHL level. The second year is one-way and is valued at $625,000. "Its a big weight off," Scrivens told TSN. "For me it was a long summer. Ive never really been through a process like that so happy to have that experience, that learning curve, behind me now." Scrivens, who split last season between the Maple Leafs and the AHL Toronto Marlies, is projected to stick with the Maple Leafs as the clubs back-up behind James Reimer. Jonas Gustavsson, who appeared in 42 games last season for Toronto, signed a two-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings this summer as a free agent. Scrivens, who turned 26 on Tuesday, was 4-5-2 with a 3.13 goals against average in 12 games for the Maple Leafs last season. He was 22-15-1 with four shutouts for the Marlies in 39 regular season appearances and led the AHL with a 2.04 goals against average. He backstopped the Marlies on the teams run to the Western Confeerence title and a berth in the Calder Cup final.dddddddddddd "The whole thing probably went on a little longer than I would have liked," Scrivens explained. "Everyone wants to get signed. Mid-season is a great time to get a contract extension [chuckle] so to wait to summer, it as, cliché as it sounds, it is what it is. Thats the way things broke down. Scrivens said that Saturdays lockout deadline did not play a role in the timing of his new deal. "I was prepared to sign a deal when I was happy with it, when I was comfortable with where the contract was going to fit into my development opportunity. I think its just coincidence that it happened right now, but, that being said, I dont know how you cannot look at the deadline ... its definitely a point youre aware of." He also talked about the possibility of fighting for the Leafs starting job at training camp. "I dont make that decision. Id love for that to be the opportunity Im presented with," Scrivens said.
