Truth of Love
His skin as smooth as silk.
Eyes deepset and gentle as breeze,
His fingertips a delightful tease.
A smile that can brighten any day,
One that releases fears astray.
His voice assertive, yet compassionate,
A laugh so sweet; can you imagine it?
I can see all the days and nights in his loving delight.
My heart is filled with content,
This must be heaven sent.
No judgement lies in his tone,
No hint of condone.
Respect is all I see,
I know he cares for "me".
No expectations I need to pass,
I feel this is going to last.
Memories draped upon my mind,
Fond kisses wash through my dreams,
This really is all it seems.
How lucky I feel though he constantly reminds me he's not the only lucky one,
How I wish I could give half to him of what he gives to me,
How I want so deeply to make him see.
When you find the one that cradles your heart with the key,
Find happiness in what you see.
Respect love and let it be,
For in true happiness you find no plea.
