So I met this amazing guy on here. We totally hit it off, got along really well, talked online for a few months and then.....
Some background my be helpful here. He is stationed in Iraq. I am in the states.
Now I completely understand being in a war zone, limited contact with those you love and care about...I totally get it. I am not a blonde! With that said, we talked almost everyday for almost 2 months. I got that he wasn't always available to talk. I used to get the warning-I won't be available for x amount of days. But out of nowhere (at least, to me) I don't hear from him for 4, 5, 6, 7 days. No explanation.
So I call him on it. And he explodes! IM yelling at me and shit, treating me like I'm a dumbass and I should cut HIM some slack. Telling me not to take his lack of communication personally. Well how am I supposed to take it when you can change you song on your profile but you can't say HI to you supposed girlfriend?
Well, things escalated from there and I get a few nasty IM's while I'm offline. Next thing I know, he's deleted me off myspace and completely ignores me.
Now, should I chalk this up to military/war zone stress or is this guy really a jerk? I'd like to think he's not.
I still think about him everyday. I've got one of his hot pictures as my wallpaper at work. I get bummed when I see him online, knowing I should just let him have his space because more likely than not, he's going thru some horrific shit over there. I know I'm partly to blame, but it does take two......
